Challenges of the Cultural Rights Plan

A significant new feature of our country’s cultural policy in 2024 has been the announcement of the launch of the ambitious Cultural Rights Plan by the Ministry of Culture. This is based on a threefold objective: firstly, to bring citizens closer to culture and to design a cultural policy, secondly, to comply with our international commitments related to cultural rights, particularly the right of access to culture, and, finally, to advocate culture and the participation of citizens in cultural life as a means of defending, promoting and expanding democracy. This round table will seek to increase knowledge of this initiative and its different phases of execution and to debate and identify the challenges that it poses.
