The word and reading provided with fondness in the early stages of life are basic needs like feeding and sleeping, particularly at a time such as this one, when there is often little time for human interaction. This talk will discuss why it’s so important for countries to invest in public reading policies for early childhood and present some successful experiences implemented by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay.
